Executive Search - (Rifle-shot approach)
Advantage
- Identifies rare candidates;
- High level of service and advice;
- Consultant loyalty is to the client;
- Minimises time involvement of client. Consultant drives the project, reporting on progress at agreed stages;
- Consultant is experienced interviewer minimising a poor selection for a key role;
- Bespoke process tailored to the client's specific needs;
- Dialogue with candidate to expand on attractions of role and address any issues (e.g. relocation to Scotland, the high quality of schools, housing and lifestyle);
- Highly value added service to appoint key executive or director.
Disadvantage
- Timetable flexible as depends on candidate availability;
- Can drive up salary expectations as consultant approaches passive candidates however, in our experience, candidates do not move for money rather for other reasons- challenge or opportunity; the money has to match the opportunity.
